Practical lighting
Specify direction, color temperature, softness and falloff. Mix cool window light with a warm lamp only when the reference supports it. One window can work well.
TIKTOK SHOP / SEEDANCE REALISM SKILL
Seedance realistic commerce video. My workflow tackles both the synthetic look and the overly staged ad: credible skin, hands and products, with lighting, everyday objects and framing that belong to the actual setting.
01 / ARCHITECTURE
Check the actual generation entry, then anchor the person, product, room and voice. Four narrative beats can share one camera angle. Repair a specific defect at its timecode by changing one main variable.
Solid arrows show execution; the dashed path is defect repair. Allow at most three additional, evidence-led attempts after the first result. Scroll horizontally on mobile to read the full diagram.
02 / FOUR PILLARS
Specify direction, color temperature, softness and falloff. Mix cool window light with a warm lamp only when the reference supports it. One window can work well.
Pick two or three objects related to the action: a half-full cup, an opened parcel or a used tissue. Keep their positions consistent.
Preserve pores, local color differences and under-eye shadows. Match skin exposure and focus softness to the room; avoid smoothing and a uniform grain overlay.
Subtle handheld movement, a little motion blur during motion, slightly off-center framing, vertical 9:16. Keep the product legible during the demonstration.
03 / A 20-SECOND TAKE
A 20-second template. Read the dialogue aloud before assigning timings; leave room to demonstrate and observe. Write short, natural phrases for the target language and market.
| Time | Purpose | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| 0–2s | Hook | Begin mid-action with a specific question or audience situation. Use numbers only when supported. |
| 2–7s | Use context | Show when the problem occurs. Quantify camera movement, such as a 1.05× push-in from 2s to 5s. |
| 7–17s | Demonstration | Grip, place down or push closer. Show one verified feature; avoid intricate finger movements and complex rotations. |
| 17–20s | Next step | State the real purchase path in one line. Finish the action naturally; do not invent discounts, scarcity or results. |
04 / COPY & ADAPT
Put Character, Setting and Voice locks at the top, with a dedicated Product lock. Set the actual market language; Mandarin syllable instructions belong only in Mandarin dialogue. Replace every bracketed field.
[Character Lock — CREATOR_NAME]
Use [CHARACTER_REFERENCE] as the identity authority.
[Adult age range, body proportions, distinct facial features.]
[Hair, eyewear if present, clothing, accessories.]
Preserve the same facial structure and body proportions throughout.
[Allowed posture and simple gestures.]
The person is [a demonstrator / the actual authorized creator]; do not invent
customer experiences, professional credentials, affiliations or results.
[Product Lock]
Use [PRODUCT_REFERENCE / SKU] for product geometry, color, material and packaging.
Keep the real label and logo exactly as shown; do not invent lettering or claims.
Demonstrate only [VERIFIED PHYSICAL ACTION / OBSERVABLE FEATURE].
[Setting Lock]
Use [ROOM_REFERENCE]. [Room layout, camera direction, product location.]
[Window/light position, practical light temperature and soft/hard quality.]
[Two or three relevant objects with ordinary traces of use and fixed positions.]
Keep these spatial relationships consistent throughout.
[Voice Lock]
Language: [TARGET LANGUAGE]. Accent: [TARGET MARKET ACCENT].
Voice: [Age range, timbre], relaxed everyday speech at [TESTED PACE].
Speak only the quoted dialogue. No narration from a second speaker.
Mouth movement follows the exact dialogue timing in [TARGET LANGUAGE];
the mouth is closed and still during silent beats.
[If verified and needed: Brand NAME is pronounced PRONUNCIATION.]
[Capture and texture]
Vertical 9:16, casual smartphone home-video feel.
Handheld with subtle natural movement, slight motion blur during movement,
composition slightly off-center. Keep the product readable at the demonstration.
[Actual light direction, temperature and softness], with natural falloff.
Skin shows natural texture with pores and subtle imperfections,
natural local differences in skin tone, not over-smoothed plastic.
Match skin exposure and focus softness to the room and the reference.
Hands have natural anatomy with five fingers and correct proportions.
Eyes remain stable and focused on [ONE GAZE TARGET], without flickering or jitter.
[Timeline — 20-second target; adapt to the verified generation limit]
0–2s | HOOK
[Start mid-action: a simple real interaction with the product.]
Dialogue: "[Short market-appropriate hook, with no unsupported numbers.]"
Camera: [Fixed casual angle / small motivated movement.]
2–7s | USE CONTEXT
[One concrete situation showing why the feature matters.]
Dialogue: "[Natural short sentence about the situation.]"
Camera: [For example: subtle 1.05x push-in from 2s to 5s.]
7–17s | DEMONSTRATION
[Grip the product, place it down or push it closer; show one verified feature.]
Dialogue: "[A factual observation supported by the SKU.]"
Keep hand–product contact physically coherent. Preserve the exact packaging.
[Leave a short silent beat to see the action.]
17–20s | NEXT STEP
[Finish the action naturally; retain product visibility.]
Dialogue: "[Actual purchase path or neutral next step.]"
[Quality directives]
Maintain the locked person, product, room and light-source relationships.
Hands have natural anatomy with five fingers and correct proportions.
Skin shows natural texture with pores and subtle imperfections.
Eyes remain stable and focused; synchronize the mouth to the exact dialogue.
Documentary realism throughout, not an AI-art aesthetic, 3D render or illustration.
Use ordinary practical lighting and casual framing, not polished studio staging.
No newly generated captions, floating words, fake background lettering,
unrelated logos, UI overlays, numbers or symbols.
Preserve the authentic text and branding already present on the product reference.
Unmarked background surfaces show their natural material texture.
Keep intentional subtitles out of the generated footage; add them as a separate
post-production layer only if requested.Preserve authentic product labels and logos. Text constraints target newly invented lettering, overlays and background words. Pair key negatives with positive descriptions; a repetition count does not guarantee compliance.
05 / REPAIR LOOP
| Symptom | First adjustment |
|---|---|
| Looks like a staged ad | Correct a practical light or relax the framing; then check whether props belong to the action. |
| Plastic skin / over-sharpness | Restore local skin-tone variation and reference softness; remove conflicting beauty or retouched terms. |
| Drifting room / false light | Bind the same room reference, window, lamp and prop positions; match exposure and white balance. |
| Changing face | Use consistent identity references, reduce large angle changes and use supported frame anchors. |
| Broken hands / contact | Simplify to holding or placing; reduce occlusion and specify the contact with the product. |
| Unstable eyes / lip-sync | Fix one gaze target; verify language and spoken duration, then shorten and slow the line. |
| Invented text | Lock real packaging; request no newly invented words and describe natural background materials. |
| Color jump at a cut | Match lighting, exposure and action first. A 0.6–0.8s transition is an optional technique, not a repair guarantee. |
06 / BEFORE GENERATION
07 / CAPABILITIES & EVIDENCE
Checked on September 9, 2026. The 15–25-second range is this workflow’s creative target. Read the actual model, account and interface limits again when executing.
| Item | Verified scope |
|---|---|
| Duration and shots | Seedance 2.5 is officially released, with up to 30 seconds per generation and scene changes. |
| References | Up to 30 images + 10 videos + 10 audio clips: 50 references in total, not 50 images. |
| Extension | The official project page lists two extensions. A fixed 90-second total was not independently confirmed. |
| Resolution | The BytePlus LAS 2.5 endpoint lists 480p / 720p, 24 fps and 4–30s. A native 4K promise does not apply to that entry. |

The source notes report N=12, eye stability 95, identity consistency 92, hands 89, 47% / 18% / 0%, an approximately 3× recency effect and 12% / 8% improvements. Their original statements are retained in the English SKILL.md in the download. Raw samples, scoring definitions and controls are unavailable, so they are not guarantees of this Skill. The official Seedance 2.0 prompting guide also says unwanted subtitles cannot be prevented with 100% certainty; that statement cannot be turned into a quantitative 2.5 result.
